Having been involved with Search and Reunion for more than 40 years and as a birth mother and an adoptive mother, Deb has a very personal connection to both.

Background:

Author, Love Never Leaves, published February 2022. The book chronicles Deb's experiences with racial prejudice and with adoption, and the subsequent search and reunion with her children. The book is augmented by a moving and informative collection of Triad* experiences, each in their own words.

Conference speaker, program facilitator, and lecturer throughout New England, New York, Washington DC, and Virginia for more than 35 years.

More than 40 years dedicated to running monthly meetings for Adoptees, Birth Parents, Adoptive Parents, and siblings.

Assistant Director of The Adoption Connection, a groundbreaking organization founded by Susan Darke in 1976, one of the first Search and Support resources for Adoptees, Birth Parents, Adoptive Parents and anyone separated through adoption. 

The Adoption Connection's work resulted in thousands of successful searches over 40 years in addition to providing guidance and support for legislature that changed adoption laws.

Editor of The Adoption Connection newsletter, Happenings, for 22 years.

Created programs to educate Triad members about their differences and connections.

Pre and Post Adoption for the Department of Social Services, DARE, Map training programs, Harvard University, as well a number of Northeast adoption agencies.

Member, Board of Directors for the Adoption Community of New England (ACONE) more than 12 years.

Facilitated monthly meetings through ACONE for Birth Parents living in open adoption.

Regular presenter at ACONE's Professional Training Day.

In addition to ACONE workshops, presenter for the American Adoption Congress, the Counsel for Equal Rights in Adoption, and Adoption in Rhode Island.
